I’m just back from France to find that our friends Karen Ashbrook and Paul Oorts (who have graced 2 of our Harp Guitar Gatherings) just finished a great gig at the Kennedy Center. A full hour was presented on the Kennedy Center website.
Not too shabby!
I see that this is the third time that the husband and wife duo (along with other band members) have actually played the Kennedy Center (the 2006 performance also included Paul playing his Sedgwick harp guitar).
With prestige like this, how come our instrument isn’t a national treasure?!
