HGM Gig Bags: Not Just For Dyers Anymore!

I can’t believe no one (including me!) had ever tried this before…perhaps there was no real need.

But now that the Sullivan-Elliott harp guitar plans have been selling like hot cakes for awhile, I guess it was only a matter of time before I got a request.

Yes, my Harp Guitar Music gig bag appears to be a perfect fit for the Doan-style harp guitars.  It probably helps that I made a custom shape (for those who weren’t aware) to accommodate both Dyers and Duane Noble’s original design (as he was ordering so many cases from the same vendor also).  I figured it would be a little more versatile.

And so it is!  This is a nearly finished instrument by Michael Schreiner (looks great so far, Michael!), in the gig bag that he received today.

Looks good to me.  I’m down to 5 colors until further notice by the way.

  1. Michael Schreiner Says:

Thanks Gregg. I am very pleased with the fit and quality of the case. I extended the basses a bit on this one and the fit is still quite good, including the body width and shape. I own both the Dyer and the Sullivan-Elliott plans that Gregg has available so I was able to place one plan over the other to see that this case would work perfectly.
